The Friends of the Teaneck Library are pleased to present this season’s concert series, Music on a Sunday Afternoon. Though many of the performers are perennial favorites, there’s always something new in store for the audience.
On October 14th, the Friends welcome back pianist Fan Yang, who will perform works by Brahms, Debussy and more.
The Alacorde Trio, on November 18th, will offer the music of Mendelssohn, Debussy, and a Tangos. Teaneck native, Jackie Schiller-Audi, on piano, will be accompanied by cellist, Suji Kim and violinist, Jee Sun Lee.
December 2nd brings virtuoso Classical guitarist, Francisco Roldan will perform works from Europe and Latin America, including those of JS Bach and Mauro Giuliani, as well as those championed by Andre Segovia.
On January 6th, the Friends welcome three young performers to the concert series: Caroline Hsu, solo pianist, and Alex Hamme, pianist, will accompany his violinist brother, Dylan Hamme. The two-part program will include a selection of classical works.
On February 17th, Englewinds will perform a twenty year environmental themed retrospective of works commissioned by the Teaneck Creek Conservancy.
The Adelphi Orchestra returns on March 3rd to present an “All Dvorak” concert featuring Quintet for Piano and Strings, no 2 in A major, Op. 81/B 155.
The season’s final concert on April 7th welcomes back the ever popular All Seasons Chamber Players. Their performance,” Indomitable Spirit: Beethoven and Beyond”, will feature music by Brahms, Farrenc, Beethoven, and Horatio Parker.
The public is welcome to attend these free programs to be held in the library auditorium. Friends Members only admission from 1:30 to 1:45. Please bring your membership card. General admission from 1:45 to 2:00. No one under 18 without a parent or guardian. Refreshments and an opportunity to meet the performers follow the programs. The library is located at 840 Teaneck Road at the corner of Cedar Lane in Teaneck.
