This session is designed for caregivers of children aged 0-3 ½ years old. Children are welcome to play and enjoy stories while caregivers participate in the presentation.
Presented by Debbie Silver, MS Ed., a former toddler and preschool teacher, and early childhood consultant, this session will focus on understanding and managing your toddler’s big emotions. Learn how to recognize and respond to your child’s challenging behaviors in positive, meaningful ways. Debbie brings her wealth of experience as a mother, grandmother, and New Milford resident to offer valuable insights into nurturing your child’s emotional development.

NJ Makers Day: Catapult Workshop with BCA’s Spreading STEM – New Milford Library (Large Program Room)

Get ready to launch into engineering fun this NJ Makers Day! Join us for a hands-on catapult building workshop designed for kids ages 4-12. Participants will learn about simple machines and basic engineering principles as they construct their own miniature catapults. We’ll explore different designs, test our creations, and see who can launch their projectiles the furthest! This exciting program is co-hosted by Spreading STEM, a student-led non-profit organization founded by students of Bergen County Academies dedicated to bringing STEM education to underprivileged communities. Can’t make the Catapult workshop? No problem! Celebrate NJ Makers Day at home with our Grab & Go Catapult Kits! Available from Friday, March 21st through Sunday, March 23rd during regular library hours (while supplies last), these kits contain everything you need to build your own catapult. Pick one up in the Children’s Room. One kit per child.
Spring Family Walk at Teaneck Creek Conservancy – Fycke Lane Entrance

Join Teaneck Creek Conservancy and Teaneck Public Library for a spring family walk to enjoy the changing season! The program will include a nature-themed story, a fun craft, and a guided walk through Teaneck Creek.
Meet at TCC’s Fycke Lane entrance (74 Fycke Lane). Please note: some trail sections may be difficult for strollers, so plan accordingly. Be sure to wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes for walking on the trails. No restrooms available.
