Teaneck Library Teen Volunteer Program


Harry Potter Week – April 3-8

Calling all wizards! Join us for a Harry Potter scavenger hunt, coloring/activity sheets, and stickers in the Children’s Room all week. Dress as a Wizarding World character anytime during the week to enter our costume contest.

Tuesday, April 4 : Movie Marathon & Trivia
10am Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
1pm Harry Potter Trivia – Level 1
2pm Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
5pm Harry Potter Trivia – Level 2
6pm Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban


Teen Events

Teaneck Library Teen Advisory Board aka T.A.B.
Wednesdays 4/12 & 5/17 at 7pm
The TAB is a new leadership opportunity for Teaneck teens. Meet with our Teen Librarian monthly to help plan fun and exciting new programs, select books, and help our library to better serve our teens! We invite students in 7th through 12th grades to take part in this exciting new leadership opportunity on the second Wednesday of each month at 7pm in the Parker Room.


Teen Tuesdays
Tuesdays, April 11 – May 16 at 4pm
Grades 5+
Come hang out, do homework, or get your craft on in our weekly Tuesday program. Help Ms. Jackie to earn volunteer hours, too! 


Game On
Thursdays, April 13 – May 18 at 4pm
Grades 5+
Try using our Nintendo Switch, classic board games, cards, and more. Love a game that we don’t have? Make a suggestion to our teen librarian!


Teen Art Night: Collaged Poetry! 
DATE at 7pm
Grades 5+
Let’s paint, collage, and create together using pages from old books, magazines, and found materials. Snacks provided!


Star Wars Origami
Thursday, May 4 at 4pm
Grades 5+
May the 4th Be With You – with this fun origami program making finger puppets of different Star Wars characters!


Comic Book Wallet
Friday, May 5 at 3:30pm
In honor of Free Comic Bok Day (5/6), make your own wallet out of duct tape and old comic books and graphic novels. Supplies provided.


C2 Education: The College Admissions Process
Thursday, May 11 at 7pm
High school students and parents – learn more about the college admissions process and how to prepare. All welcome.
