The Fall 2024 Featured Title is:
Our Class is a Country by Teaneck Author Andria Rosenbaum
Together in Teaneck is a StoryWalk™ at Sagamore Park developed by Teaneck Public Library. The StoryWalk™ consists of 20 visual displays, each containing one or two pages of a picture book on the theme of diversity and inclusion. The first display also includes active reading ideas to promote literacy, inspire thought and discussion, and keep kids engaged in the featured story. Children and families are encouraged to read the stories together by walking through the park and stopping at each display sign. Librarians from Teaneck Public Library select new stories on the theme of diversity and inclusion and change the stories on a seasonal basis.
The goal of this project is to celebrate diversity and inclusivity in Teaneck, promote literacy and a love of reading to children and families, and further encourage the exploration of Teaneck’s wonderful public parks.
