Registered programs may be limited to Teaneck residents.

Summer Reading Challenge
June 26 – August 11
Sign up here!

Unlock virtual badges and earn rewards by logging your reading and activities on Beanstack. Reach Level 6 (570 minutes) to earn a Superstar Reader yard sign* to display proudly and celebrate your reading achievement. 20 minutes of reading a day is all it takes – challenge yourself!

Super Reader Yard Signs are generously funded by the Friends of the Teaneck Public Library.

Summer Reading Kick-Off Party
Tuesday, June 18 at 5:30pm (Rain Date: 6/20)

Drop in to receive a Badge Book, get an ice cream, make a craft and play games! Fun for the whole family. Sign up for Summer Reading before the party here!


Teen Candy Jar
Come to any teen program to receive a secret password for the month. When you are in the library, say the password to the Children’s Room librarian to receive candy. One per day!


Library Renovation Public Info. Session – Auditorium

Teaneck Library is getting a major remodel! Meet Jeff Schlect of RSC Architects at our first public information session. He and library director Shinae Hyun will present the plans for the upcoming Library renovation. Discover some exciting new updates, how long it will take, and see the beautifully re-imagined public spaces!

Teen Drum Circle at the Creek! TCC’s Puffin Way Entrance

Grades 6+
Drum circles are great for the mind, body, and soul. Drumming can offer therapeutic benefits including reducing stress, boosting immunity, and improving cognitive functioning. In this unique program, we will meet at the Teaneck Creek Conservancy at the Turtle Peace Labyrinth to form a drum circle, using dozens of drums from around the world. Be prepared to have a lot of fun and don’t be scared to try it out, most of us have never drummed before!

Please meet us at Teaneck Creek Conservatory at 20 Puffin Way. Dress appropriately for the weather since we will be outside. Also note that there will not be restrooms readily available. 


Gingerbread Campsites Auditorium
