Mobile Hotspots

A mobile hotspot is a small box that provides wireless Internet that you can connect to with a mobile device, like a smartphone, tablet, or laptop computer. Similar to a data plan for a cell phone, as long as the hotspot can connect to the Internet service provider’s cell tower, users can access the Internet.

These mobile hotspots are a great option for Teaneck residents who do not have reliable Internet at home.

Eligibility: To be eligible to borrow a mobile hotspot, patrons must be a Teaneck resident, 18 years or older, with a valid Teaneck Public Library card in good standing.

Availability: Hotspots are available at the front desk on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservations can be made ahead of time.
Please note: while the Teaneck Library is closed for renovations, Hotspots must be picked up and returned to the New Milford Library on 200 Dahlia Dr. in New Milford, NJ.

Loan Period: Hotspots are checked out for a four-week period (no renewals).

Returns: Hotspots may be returned at the Teaneck Library ONLY (Can be returned in the Media Drop but NOT the Book Return).

Late Fines: There will be a $5.00 per day charge if the hotspot is returned late.

Lost or damaged hotspot: The charge for a lost hotspot is $100. The charge for a damaged hotspot will be determined by the Library Director.
