Our Teen Volunteer Program is open to residents and students in Teaneck who are in 7th through 12th grades. To be accepted into the volunteer program, all prospective volunteers are first required to fill out our Teen Volunteer Application and attend a Volunteer Orientation (dates below). All attendees receive volunteer credit for attending the orientation. 

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Please allow one week to process your application. If you have questions, you can direct them to teens@teaneck.bccls.org


Volunteer Orientation – Parker Room

Come and join us! Teens in grade 7 and up can get involved in the Library and earn community service credit. Attendance in one of our orientations and a complete volunteer application is required for participation. Orientation is in-person.

Teaneck Library Teen Advisory Board aka T.A.B. Parker Room
Wednesdays, December 13, January 10 & February 14 at 7pm
The TAB is a new leadership opportunity for Teaneck teens. Meet with our Teen Librarian monthly to help plan fun and exciting new programs, select books, and help our library to better serve our teens! We invite students in 7th through 12th grades to take part in this exciting new leadership opportunity on the second Wednesday of each month at 7pm in the Parker Room.
