Please note:

Teaneck residents receive priority registration for Youth Services programs. While many programs are open to non-residents, some may be limited to Teaneck residents. If a program reaches capacity and Teaneck residents are on the waitlist, registrations for non-residents may be canceled to accommodate resident families.
Our elevator is currently out of service. Programs scheduled in the Auditorium take place on the library’s lower level and are accessible only by stairs at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you have questions about accessibility or need assistance determining whether a program location will meet your needs, please contact us at youth@teaneck.bccls.org or 201-837-4171 x4.

Baby-sitters Club Party – Auditorium
Tuesday, September 1 from 4:00 PM – 4:45 PM.

Registration is required.
Celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Baby-Sitters Club with a special party for fans of the beloved series! Participants will enjoy a variety of themed activities, games, and crafts inspired by the books and the unforgettable members of the Baby-Sitters Club.

Friday, September 4 from 3:30 PM – 4:15 PM.
9 years to 12 years.
Registration is required.

The Write Idea Challenge
Starting Tuesday, September, 15!

Family Campfire – Teaneck Creek Conservancy
Friday, September 18 from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM.
Sunday, October 11 from 5:00 pm – 6:30 PM.
Ages 4+
Registration is required.
Come circle around the campfire for some fun, stories and treats at this family-friendly program. Registration is required. Registrants will be notified via email if the program is canceled due to rain. We will be meeting at TCC’s 20 Puffin Way entrance. Please arrive on time as we will walk together to the Turtle Peace Labyrinth. Bring something to sit on (a towel, chair, or mat), insect repellent (optional) and wear weather-appropriate clothing and footwear. Please note: some trail sections are challenging for strollers – plan accordingly.
If this program must be canceled due to poor weather, participants will be notified by email asap.

Join us for a fun and interactive storytime designed especially for babies and toddlers up to age 3 and their caregivers. Enjoy stories, songs, movement activities, and bubbles while building early literacy skills and creating joyful moments together.
This program is open to Teaneck residents only. A valid Teaneck library card is required at registration. Please register for either the Tuesday or Thursday series so that more families can participate. Due to space limitations, we ask that only one caregiver attend per family. Please arrive by 10:40 am; after that time, we may offer spots to families on the waiting list if space allows.

Cat in the Hat Storytime Party – Parker Room

Paint Your Partner for Kids – Auditorium
Wednesday, September 2 from 4:00 PM – 4:45 PM.
7 years to 17 years.
Registration is required.
Bring someone special and get ready to paint! Partners will create portraits of each other in this fun and creative art program. Bring a family member or friend and see each other through an artist’s eyes as you create one-of-a-kind keepsakes to take home. No artistic experience is needed – just come ready to get creative, have fun, and enjoy a few laughs along the way! Registration is required – please register as a pair.

Graphic Novel Book Club – Parker Room

Calling all graphic novel fans! Read a new graphic novel each month and join us for a lively discussion about the characters, adventures, and big moments in the story. We’ll also have activities inspired by each book. Registration open to non-Teaneck residents.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is a national program with a very simple goal: to create lifetime readers starting at a very early age. Reading with your child benefits development and allows you to create a family bond. Start reading and tracking your books with your little one (birth-kindergarten ) – it’s never too early! You can log your books digitally or using our simple printable tracker. Your child will receive badges and stickers along the way as well as a gift and certificate when they reach the goal. Reading the same book again and again (as children often want to do) counts!
